Woody Joe 1/150 Matsumoto Castle Wooden Model Assembly Kit
Matsumoto Castle (a National Treasure) is a complex, connected-tiered castle tower consisting of five buildings: the five-story, six-story main tower, a connecting tower, a small Inui tower, and the Tatsumitsuke Tower and Tsukimi Tower, added in the early Edo period.
Its predecessor was Fukashi Castle. It is the only flat-surface castle among the 12 remaining castle towers.
The exterior clapboards are black lacquered.
While the castle tower is equipped with stone-drops and slits for preparations in case of battle, the Tsukimi Tower, built in the Edo period, features thin Mairado doors and vermilion balustrades, demonstrating the transition from the Sengoku period to an era of peace.
The castle's beautiful reflection on the surface of the moat, against the backdrop of the majestic Northern Alps, captivates many visitors.

This kit is a 1/150-scale, authentic wooden model of Matsumoto Castle, one of Japan's most popular castles.
Comprehensive improvements have been made to ensure smooth assembly and a realistic reproduction that approaches the real Matsumoto Castle.
Numerous laser-machined parts are used for the castle tower base structure, exterior walls, and Tsukimi Yagura balustrades.
The stone walls are made of rare Jindai wood (buried wood), and by stacking them using the patterned paper as a guide, you can create a dignified castle tower base that makes the most of the natural wood texture.
The shachihoko (shachi) is made of metal.
