The FX-AUDIO brand's high-resolution, USB-bus-powered compact DAC has been redesigned!

This simple audio device operates solely via USB, featuring the acclaimed BRAVO SA9023 + Burr-Brown PCM5101A (S/N ratio 106dB) USB receiver and DAC ICs.

Like the previous model, it maintains the unique low-noise power supply and coupling-capacitor-less design. The use of high-quality components further improves reliability and sound quality, and it also features a digital filter switching function.

[Improvements from the previous model, FX-01A]

■ High-quality capacitors used in the power supply The power supply decoupling capacitors have been unified to Panasonic electrolytic capacitors, improving reliability and stability.

■High-quality components used in the output filter section The output coupling specification already provides high sound quality, but the output filter section now uses MELF-type metal film resistors to further reduce distortion.

The capacitors have also been changed from multilayer ceramic capacitors to Panasonic ECHU (laminated metallized PPS film capacitors), which are highly regarded for audio applications, further improving sound quality.

■Equipped with a switch to change the digital filter calculation method within the DAC Two types of filters, infinite impulse response (IIR) and finite impulse response (FIR), can be selected using the button switch on the main unit. You can freely select the filter that is best suited to your sound source and system, and expect further improvement in sound quality. *See notes* After switching the switch, you will need to reconnect the USB cable.
