The prototype is the current form of IR04 train set (manufactured by Kinki Sharyo).
The "Ochre" version features ochre accent colors for the fall prevention barriers and side stripes.
The bold IR Ishikawa Railway's distinctive light blue base paint scheme for the front and sides is accurately reproduced.
Two types of fall prevention barriers between the leading cars are available (for leading and intermediate couplings). The intermediate coupling type is used to prevent interference when coupling leading cars together.
The leading section is equipped with a coupler cover and dummy coupler for electric couplers. By replacing it with the included leading coupling coupler, leading cars can be coupled together.
The intermediate coupling section uses a close-coupled coupler (without hook).
A power unit with a flywheel ensures stable running. Equipped with traction tires.
The front destination display is printed with "Local Toyama." Replacement displays "Local Kanazawa" and "(Plain)" are included. The side destination displays are solid black. Destination display stickers included.
Headlights and taillights light up (with switch to turn them off). Uses white LEDs.
DCC friendly.
