The FX-AUDIO brand's first standard model phono equalizer compatible with MM cartridges.
Although this is an affordable standard model, the focus on sound quality, both in terms of component selection and circuitry, is on achieving sound quality approaching that of mid-range models, with high-precision MELF resistors, laminated metallized polyester film capacitors, a DIP-type operational amplifier, and a two-stage amplification circuit using a low-noise operational amplifier.
This product is a phono equalizer preamplifier designed specifically for MM cartridges, converting the record player's PHONO output to a line output, allowing connection to devices without PHONO inputs.
By connecting it between an amplifier without a phono equalizer function and a record player without a phono equalizer function, you can enjoy records in environments without PHONO inputs.
[Key IC Specifications]
■ Equalizer Circuit: TI TL071 Low-Noise Op-Amp (1 Circuit)
■ Amplification Circuit: JRC 2068D Low-Noise Op-Amp (2 Circuits)
[Notes]
- For MM cartridges only
- Cannot be used with MC cartridges or record players that do not allow the phono equalizer to be turned off.
- When connecting to a record player with a built-in phono equalizer, set the player's phono equalizer to off.
- Replacing the op-amp requires disassembly of the unit and is therefore not covered by the warranty.
